Jason Kukorlo | Structural Option



Jason Kukorlo

Jason Kukorlo is currently in his 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at Penn State University.  In May 2010, he will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in structural systems.  Jason is a member of Tau Beta Pi (The National Engineering Honor Society), Phi Alpha Epsilon (The Architectural Engineering Honor Society), and NSCS (The National Society of Collegiate Scholars).  He received the Ellerbe Becket Scholarship and Gladys M. Baird Scholarship at the AE Department’s 2009 Senior Awards and Recognition Banquet.  Jason also received a 2009 Tau Beta Pi Scholarship. 
 

During the past three summers, Jason has had the opportunity to intern at Nutec Design Associates, Inc., a full-service architectural and engineering firm located in York, PA.  In 2006, Jason spent his summer interning at First Capital Engineering, Inc., a civil engineering firm in York, PA.  He gained valuable design experience and on-site experience that has been applicable to his class work and will benefit his future career.  Jason passed the FE Exam in October 2008 and will gain EIT status upon graduation.  He looks forward to working as a structural engineer at an AE firm to gain experience and eventually obtain his P.E. license.  Outside of academics, Jason enjoys athletics and outdoor activities including football, baseball, fishing, and camping.
