Jonathan's Resume - Click Here

Mr. Jonathan R. Torch graduated from Forest City Regional High School, which is located in Forest City, PA (North of Scranton, PA).  Currently, he is enrolled at Pennsylvania State University, majoring in Architectural Engineering (AE), specializing in structures.  Upon graduation in May 2010, he will receive a Bachelor/Master degree within AE and also be an EIT (Engineer in Training).

Throughout college, Jonathan has been involved in campus communities and activities.  He has been a Schreyer Honors College Resident Assistant for Penn State Residence Life during his Junior and Senior years. As a Resident Assistant, Jonathan has provided peer assistance to 58 residents, enforced university policies, and organized community programs and activities. Currently, Jonathan is a NCAA student-athlete math tutor and an AE Envoy.  As an Envoy, he is required to represent Penn State AE to the public and explain to interested students what Penn State AE involves.

Jonathan has participated in two internships.  For his first internship, he was employed by Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute (PSFEI) from 2007-2009 part-time.  This work involved condition assessment of building systems and grounds, cost estimating, and Revit Architecture modeling.  His second internship was during the summer of 2008 with AECOM in Virginia Beach, VA.  This internship focused on foundation design, steel frame/building design, and construction administration.

Jonathan received the 2008 AE Sharron Williams Memorial Scholarship and the 2009 Louis and Judy Geschwindner Endowed Scholarship.

Throughout high school and college, Jonathan challenged his leadership, technical, and communication skills.  He looks forward to using these skills and working with team members upon graduation.
