STUDENT BIOGRAPHY

Matthew Dabrowski is currently in his 5th year of studies pursuing an integrated Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering. Within this degree he is focusing his efforts on the Construction Management Option and will graduate in December 2009. Matthew passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and will receive his Engineer in Training (EIT) status upon graduation. Within his studies, Matthew continues to increase his knowledge regarding Green Building Construction and intends to pass the LEED AP exam prior to graduation.

During the past three summers, Mr. Dabrowski has been involved in architecture and construction management related internships. In the summer of 2007, he worked for B.Braun Medical within the Facilities Engineering Department to assist with developing the Basis of Design for two manufacturing facilities. During the summer of 2008, Jacobs Engineering integrated Matthew into the construction management team for a Data Center for Glaxo-Smith-Kline. While on-site, he utilized BIM to answer RFI's. This past summer, Matthew had the opportunity to work for The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. where he grew his skills as he was given a small project to manage. After the completion of this project, Matthew was transferred to the office where he worked closely with a project team to bid a $40 million project.

Outside of the classroom, Matthew involves himself with organizations such as S:PACE (Student Chapter of the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence) as well as SSAE (Student Society of Architectural Engineers). Matthew keeps himself busy with distance running and has completed the Philadelphia Marathon last November.
