REFLECTION

AE 481 & AE 482/882 Course Reflection

The senior thesis course has been a very challenging and educational experience year. This course allows for an individual based design and construction analysis on some of the current major construction projects in the industry. This course also allows the student use all previous 4 years of AE knowledge and "put it into action". It is definitely challenging when it comes to finding the "best" ways to improve the design and construction of many of these projects. It takes both an innovative mind and a great deal of motivation to come up with the best work that can make a difference!

As far as the strict deadlines which are required throughout this course, well this is how it is in the real world; therefore, I think it is a good preparation for 5th years before going out in this industry to learn time management and strict deadlines.
Overall, this course has privilege to proved 5th year students with a thorough understanding of how the industry operates from start to finish. And most importantly, it gives the student an outlook on what is currently being done in the industry and what to expect when holding the first job as an AE graduate.

CPEP & Discussion Boar Reflection

Creating an individualized CPEP website was definitely a challenge at first but at the end, looking back at the work I have done, it was probably worth the time. I found it to be both useful and rewarding. I like the idea of having a website that can be up for 5 years that I can always come back to and can be proud of what I have learned in the past 5 years of very hard and dedicated work.
