Reflection and ABET Assessment

AE 481W/482 Reflection

The AE senior thesis in my mind is what sets Architectural Engineering apart from all of the other engineering majors at Penn State. I think that the senior thesis is a great way for seniors to apply all of the information, knowledge, and skills that they have learned over the past five years into a culminating project. I believe that the senior thesis project is a transition between the classroom and the real world. It is an assigment that allows students to begin applying the skills they have been learning in ways they will use them upon graduation. I think these skills are so important for real-world preparation, and help make the AE program a first-class program.

CPEP Reflection
I felt that the CPEP website was an effective tool to help students display their work to their peers, faculty, and industry professionals. I know that I, myself, put my CPEP website on my resume as well as gave the web address to several people who were interested in what I was studying. I feel that the CPEP website is a way for seniors to create a "second resume" where they can show potential employers some of their work as well as more information about themselves as well.
