Craig Owsiany is an Architectural Engineering (AE) student currently in his 10th semester at Penn State. Within the AE major, he focuses in the Construction Management (CM) option. Areas of study include scheduling, estimating, value engineering, building materials, construction phases and much more. After this semester, Fall 2010, Craig will begin work with HESS Construction + Engineering Services located in Gaithersburg, MD. HESS focuses primarily in the educational sector: middle schools, high schools and higher educational facilities. He will be working as a project engineer on the STEM Building (the building of his thesis) and is excited to be a part of the HESS family. When not in the classroom or working on thesis, Craig enjoys spending time with friends and family. If looking to relax, he appreciates the great outdoors with camping and hiking. Water sports and winter sports like wakeboarding, water skiing, snowboarding and skiing are at the top of the list when looking for an adrenaline rush. He also keeps himself active with regular trips to the gym to run and lift weights. This passed year, Craig joined the Happy Valley Barbarians Rugby Club, the local State College rugby team where he was nominated as the Rookie of the Year. He looks to find a team in the Gaithersburg area to continue playing. Craig has also spent most of his life wrestling, including three years on the Penn State Varsity Wrestling Team. He is currently searching for a high school wrestling team to help out with when available. |
