Student Bio & Resume

Diab Shetayh is currently in his 5th year of the Architectural Engineering program with his focus in Construction at The Pennsylvania State University.  In May 2011, Diab will be graduating with a Bachelor Degree of Architectural Engineering. 

During his time in the Architectural Engineering program, Diab has obtained an internship with Hess Construction + Engineering Services in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This past summer, he worked on the Carderock Springs Elementary School project where he had the opportunity to work under the Superintendent.  Having the opportunity to work under the Superintendent has allowed Diab to experience some of the challenges and obstacles a Superintendent encounters on a day-to-day basis.  His internship has left him with an immense amount of experience that he can apply to his remaining classes at Penn State. 

Outside of classes, Diab is involved in several clubs within the Architectural Engineering program.  Diab serves as a Secretary for the Student Partnership in Achieving Construction Excellence      (S: PACE) where he has been a member since 2008.  He is also an active member of the Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE).
