AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

Both AE 481W and AE 482 were instrumental in offering me a better perspective on the education that I received here at Penn State. The knowledge and work ethic that I gained through the previous four years in introductory building design, lighting, electrical, structural, acoustics, and more in the field of architectural engineering allowed me to become a better thinker and a problem solver.  Being able to tackle new research and technology in the building industry in just my 5th year in college will give me confidence that I can tackle any problem that might come in my way as I transition into the professional engineering field.

CPEP and Discussion Board Reflection.

CPEP is a great way for us to communicate with the professor and our classmates, the type of research we are performing. It is a very efficient alternative way for us to tell our faculty advisor how we are doing and how well we are following the schedule that we have laid out in previous assignments. The discussion board is a great source of information, and everyone should be encouraged to use this more often.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, pleae be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work-in-progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Geoffrey Kim. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differeng assumptions, code reference, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
