The AE Senior Thesis Project was a very valuable year-long experience that provided the opportunity to really scrutinize and become familiar with every building system and their integration within the building as a whole.  After completing the project, I believe I have become well-prepared for a lighting design career, becoming more familiar with the entire lighting design process (conceptual design to construction document phases).

Although extremely stressful at the time, the presentation to the lighting designers at Lutron in December was an extremely valuable experience.  Receiving constructive criticism from real designers enabled me to see how designers thought and the next steps in taking my designs further.

The total amount of coursework also seemed varied between options.  AE 481W/482 is a very demanding year-long project, but Lighting/Electrical students always seemed to have the most work.

Please refer to the ABET assessment of the AE Senior courses to the right.
