Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in-progress for this thesis project.  Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Justin Green. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.

COURSE REFLECTION

Senior Thesis was a very involved and time consuming project, but proved to be beneficial in the end with a greater understanding of the topics chosen for my depths and breadths.  The fall semester helped me become more familiar with my building and ideas that could be researched during the spring semester.  However, I thought that it would have been more beneficial as a CM option to complete the two Building Statistics Assignments before the first Technical Assignment.  This is because a lot of the information used in the first Technical Assignment could have been expanded from the same topics used in Building Statistics Part II.

The spring semester involved the bulk of the work and was therefore the most challenging three months of my educational career.  It was difficult managing my time between completing my thesis and handling the workload of my other courses.  I would have rather completed my thesis analyses in segments instead of trying to work on all three topics at the same time as required in our initial progress schedule.

Overall, this project was a very intense and rewarding experience.  Something that will help me in my future career as a construction manager.

CPEP REFLECTION

The Capstone E-Portfolio is a great place to show progress and achievement throughout the school year.  I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING MICROSOFT PUBLISHER!!!!  My webpage was first designed using Adobe Dreamweaver, but this gave me a lot of trouble when setting up my webpage and all of the necessary tables.  With Microsoft Publisher, you have the flexibility to make your webpage the way you want with very little restrictions.  You can link pages within other pages of the document and files located in the T-drive.  To update your website, you just save the file as an .htm/.html document, replacing the index file in your T-drive.
