REFLECTION

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the
pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐inprogress
for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and
construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Joshua Martz. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was
flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been
incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original
design.

THESIS REFLECTION

The senior thesis project is a valuable tool that the Architectural Engineering Department uses to teach students how to integrate different building systems. Doing this project made me realize the importance of good; communication, analytical skills, and problem solving skills. Also, by allowing each student to work as individual the department gives the students the freedom to research systems that interest them. That freedom let me research several systems, which allowed me to gain experience finding information on different systems that would help me in the professional world.

CPEP REFLECTION

The CPEP website is a valuable tool in that it allows faculty and professionals to view work done by individual students. It also helps students become organized and be able to make a timeline to finish work so it can be posted to the CPEP site.
