ABET Outcome Survey

Being a part of the AE BIM/IPD Thesis posed many positive experiences overall. I felt that the choice to join such a program was beneficial to myself. Being part of the Building Stimulus team allowed me to explore design possibilites that have not been taught to us in our scholastic endevours.

Though a fully functional double skin facade may not have been the most realistic application for the Millennium Science Complex, It proved to be a learning exercise. The effect of integrating solar shaing devices have substantial effects on mechanical loads, which were able to be fully realized with a mechanical student there to fully analyze the system. The Integrated Project Delivery aspect of this project was a great experience to understand the effects of each students decisions on other students systems.

I felt that joining the IPD/BIM Thesis helped prepare me for joing the workforce moreso than an individual thesis could have. Working in well balanced teams is a realistic approach to preparing students for their furture.
