BIOGRAPHY

MADISON SMITH

Madison Smith is currently a 5th year senior in the Architectural Engineering department at the Pennsylvania State University. She will graduate in May 2011 with a Bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering with a concentration in construction management and a minor in Architectural Studies.

 

Madison has worked in one construction management internship and one architecture internship. During the summer of 2009, she worked with Bammel Architects in Orchard Park, New York assisting on a variety of projects. Some of which include large residential homes, assisted living facilities and recreation facilities. Her most recent experience was in summer 2010 with Savarino Companies, a construction management firm in Buffalo, New York. She worked alongside the chief estimator on projects that included local high schools and senior healthcare facilities.

 

Outside of Penn State academics, Madison is involved in extracurricular activities. She is a member of the Student Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (S:PACE). She was also a member of the Penn State Club Women’s Rugby Team from 2006-2007.
