 Student Biography:

R. Bryan Peiffer was born and raised in Etters, Pennsylvania. In high school, he developed a strong fascination for buildings and how they worked from his CAD teacher. Upon graduating high school Bryan pursued his interests and enrolled at The Pennsylvania State University. During his first semester he decided to pursue a degree in the Architectural Engineering program.


Bryan is currently in his 5th year of study in the program at The Pennsylvania State University. Upon graduation in May 2011, Bryan will be granted with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, with an option of study in structural engineering. Within the Architectural Engineering program, Bryan has completed a variety of classes including Advanced Steel Design, Advanced Concrete Design, Computer Modeling of Building Structures, and Design of Wood Structures.  Bryan will be taking the FE exam in spring of 2011 and will gain EIT status upon graduation. After graduation Bryan is looking forward to pursuing his career with a structural engineering firm.


During his time at Penn State, Bryan stays involved in the industry through student organizations such as the Structural Engineers Association (SEA). He has participated in the Club Ice Hockey program while attending Penn State Altoona, and has competed in the intramural ice hockey league while at the University Park campus.
