AE 481W/897G:

Senior Thesis was a very unforgettable and valuable experience. It allowed me to use the concepts learned in previous courses on an existing building, which allowed me to expand my knowledge on the analysis and design of various gravity and lateral systems. After completing the year-long Capstone Senior Thesis, I became more familiar with structural design, including both analysis and design of various gravity and lateral systems with the use of manual calculations and computer modeling. The Senior Thesis project helped me become well prepared for a structural engineering career. Senior Thesis expanded both my engineering knowledge and my understanding of the building industry.

CPEP Reflection:

The CPEP website is an extremely useful tool used to submit technical reports and assignments to be reviewed by the Architectural Engineering faculty and department. Initially, I did not have much experience with website design or Dreamweaver, but throughout the year I became a lot more comfortable with using Dreamweaver to create my website. As a result, I was able to create a very organize website for submitting my technical reports and other assignments to be reviewed by the faculty and department. In addition, the CPEP website is also valuable because it will enable prospective employers to review the various works I completed throughout my Senior Thesis.
