Senior Thesis Reflection

I felt the AE Senior Thesis project was a very important and valuable experience to any architectural engineering student. It was rewarding to use the knowledge I have learned within the last 5 years and know I can feel comfortable carrying what I know into the real world. I also was able to explore areas of engineering which were not previously covered allowing me to expand my knowledge of the industry. The entire experience, which also included interacting with peers and professionals, is one every student should endure.

CPEP Reflection

Use of the Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) was very useful for both the faculty and students because information could be accessed at any time. It was also a great way to keep track of deadlines and see my progression throughout the year. CPEP was also very useful because older sites could be used for guidance and direction.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work in progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Jessel Elliott. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
