Senior Thesis Reflection
The experience I gained throughout the past two semesters has been invaluable. I have been exposed to real-world mechanical system applications and have gained an appreciation for what MEP design and consultants do. I feel that after this year I am ready and able to enter the engineering field because I have improved my time management, communication and technical writing skills while continuing to expand my knowledge of mechanical systems.
I remember watching thesis presentations last year and feeling as though I could not understand much of them. It was not until this year when I was the one presenting that I realized how much I have really learned from the AE faculty and how much I have grown throughout my five years in college. I am able to apply my knowledge of math and science to solve problems in a wide range of fields and I feel like I can be a valuable member of productive team. I look forward to being a leader in a company one day because I know that my degree has prepared me for that.

CPEP Reflection
Before this year I had only a limited amount of experience with website design and that made me nervous about managing and maintaining my own personal website. However, with time and practice I was able to develop this site and add my own style. I am proud of what I have accomplished and look forward to learning more.
I thought that the mentor discussion board was a helpful resource. The mentors offered design advice and professional insight for all AE option students throughout the semester. I never would have had the opportunity to interface with some of those design professionals without the help of the AE department. I think it is so valuable to maintain the connections we have and grow the AE alumni network in whatever way possible.
