Student Biography

Tony Esposito is currently in his 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at Penn State University. In December 2012, he will graduate with his B.A.E/M.A.E. with a focus in Lighting/Electrical systems and design. Mr. Esposito is a member of the Student Society of Architectural Engineering (S.S.A.E), and the student chapter of The Illuminating Engineering Society (I.E.S) for which he is the President.

During the past summers and school vacations, Tony has held several internships which have provided him with valuable experience. He has held a temporary position with a lighting design firm based out of Philadelphia, PA, has interned for an Electrical contracting firm in Media, PA, and spent this past summer working in Washington D.C at a large AE firm doing Electrical System and design. Working at companies in different parts of the industry has provided Tony with a well rounded knowledge not only of Lighting/Electrical systems, but the industry as a whole.

Tony passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in Fall 2010 and will gain Engineering-in-Training (E.I.T) status upon graduation. One of his first goals upon graduation is to pursue his Professional Engineering (PE) license. Tony hopes to pursue a career in which he is constantly challenged and able to continually develop both as a person and a professional. Tony puts significant effort into helping and teaching others, and hopes to continue this emphasis on service to others into his professional career.

Outside of the classroom, Tony enjoys martial arts, acrobatics, and dedicates a lot of time to dancing.
