I am a fifth year architectural engineering student at Pennsylvania State University studying the mechanical option.  This option focuses on the design of HVAC systems in buildings.  I will graduate in May of 2013 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering.  Upon graduation I will receive EIT status.  I have recently completed a course in international construction at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

I have chosen to participate in the Charles Pankow Foundation Annual Architectural Engineering Student Design Competition for my senior thesis.  The design competition is held annually by the Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI) and focuses on improving the performance of building design and construction teams by advancing integration, collaboration, communication, and efficiency through BIM technologies.

The skills and knowledge that I have developed in BIM Studio prepared me for my internship at Michael Baker Corporation in the summer of 2012.  With Baker Engineering, I worked on numerous projects helping with equipment selection and calculations for various HVAC applications as a part of a multi-disciplinary team.
