Reflection

Senior thesis not only prepared me for the industry but it also allowed me to explore new concepts that were never placed in our curriculum.  The fall semester acted as a 4thyear refresher where I was able to explore what we had learned in the classroom and apply it to a real world application. Spring semester was where I was able to spread my wings and learn how to fly on my own. I was able to explore large span members and fully design plate girders. Also the spring semester allowed me to explore the designs and implications of an indoor water park from the ASTM Standards to the structural design of the water slides.  Thesis taught me how to manage my time and learn new concepts on my own.
