STUDENT BIOGRAPHY
George Andonie

George Andonie is currently in his 5th year at the Pennsylvania State University. In May 2014, he will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor/Master degree in Architectural Engineering with a focus on Construction Management, along with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship. Upon graduation, George will be eligible for Engineering-in-Training (EIT) status that will better enable him to extend his professional career education.

Throughout his college career, George has accumulated a variety of internship and travelling abroad experiences which have been helpful in broadening his horizon in the construction industry. Over the past three summers, George has worked with two independent contractors based in his hometown, Honduras, and completed a Study Abroad to China. In March 2012, George also participated in a week-long trip with RenewCrew PSU for the installment of a 2,5kW PV grid in the island of Roat án, Honduras. Working with different environments around the world has provided him with a wide range of experiences and broadened his outlook on how to approach specific engineering challenges. Upon graduation, George looks forward to begin working in a construction management firm where he can utilize and expand his knowledge in the construction industry.

George is also involved in many on-campus organizations including the Student Society of Architectural Engineering (SSAE), the Student Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (S:PACE), and is currently the president of the Hispanic Student Catholics Group at Penn State University. Outside of academics, George enjoys being active in a variety of sports and club activities. He enjoys playing tennis, soccer, snowboarding, and travelling around the world.
