About ME
 
 

Xiaoyin Wu is studying architectrual engineering at Penn State University. She is a fifth year lighting option student. Xiaoyin will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree in May, 2014. She is currently a member of the professional fraternity Alpha Rho Chi, national fraternity of architecture and the allied arts.

Ms. Wu went to studies abroad at Rome for two months in the summer of 2012, where she learned a lot about the Reinassance architecture history. In the past summer, she had three month internship with Philips Lighting. She worked with the Philips lighting research team and worked on several projects throughout the summer. Xiaoyin also worked for a construction company as a CAD and Revit drafter in Beijing as a drafter in the previous summers.

During the years at Penn State, Xiaoyin has been actively involved with several organizations. Beside she served as social chair and fundraising chair for two years for her fraternity, she is also a member of Student Society of Architecture Engineering (SSAE) and Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). Xiaoyin is also a physics tutor for Women in Engineering Program (WEP) for two and a half years. Other than being passionate about lighting design, Xiaoyin loves dancing, traveling and photography especially with film-camera in her free times. She had travelled to many places and keeps a big amount of valueble pictures she took.
