AE Senior Capstone Thesis Reflection

AE 481W & AE 897G Reflection

The AE Senior Capstone Thesis has been vital to my 5 year education in architectural engineering. The senior capstone thesis has allowed me to use the knowledge I have gained in my past AE classes towards a real life problem. The two semesters allowed me to research the existing design of the building, and build on that knowledge to make diverse design decisions based on the different disciplines. By giving me full control of the design process, I was able to learn the design and ethical requirements and responsibilities of a practicing engineer.

CPEP Reflection

The CPEP requirements have allowed me to present my thesis work in an orderly fashion. It has allowed me to share my work with my future colleagues, faculty and peers. It has permitted me to easily track my own progress, as well as communicate design changes with my faculty.

ABET Outcome Survey
Important Note:  These outcomes reflect a personal (student) assessment of the course, not the instructor's assessment.
