Why did you choose to come to Penn State? My family is a Penn State family and I visited the campus from a young age. My junior year, I was on a high school trip and they decided to take a tour of campus. It was on that tour that I got my first taste of how big the Penn State community is and the incredible engineering program they offer. I really enjoyed the community I felt at Penn State and loved knowing almost anywhere in the world, simply shouting “We Are” emitted a response. This sense of community also shines through the incredible networking being a Penn Stater allows you to gain access too. I also chose Penn State because of the limitless opportunities to explore and learn.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My best memory as an engineering student was the first time I saw something I had learned in class being used in industry. It was incredible seeing the real life application of a concept I had just learned!

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? My advice would be to get involved and not be afraid to try something new.

What do you plan to do after graduation? After graduation, I hope to work in the food processing industry.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? Outside of engineering, my best experience has been cheering on the football team in Beaver Stadium. I love the energy and atmosphere! Especially, during the homecoming game against Michigan that went into four overtimes my freshman year!
