Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I have a lot of family that went here and have always thought of Penn State as home! However, I wanted to make sure the college I attended had what I was looking for in academics. Penn State has one of the best and oldest programs for my major, Industrial Engineering. I got the best of both worlds with Industrial Engineering and the awesome community here.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My first internship experience. It was validation that all my hard work was worth it. It was also very cool to apply what I had learned in a Penn State classroom to real-world manufacturing.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Try new things and believe in yourself! The only way to find what you love doing is by trying new things and taking opportunities when they come your way. Also, classes can be hard, but don’t give up! Believing in yourself is half the battle, if you do that everything else will follow.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I hope to go right into industry and work in manufacturing or consulting. A long-term goal I have would be to get an MBA.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? I have so many great memories. However, one of my favorite memories is being thrown in the air 14 times after the second touchdown at my first Penn State football game in the student section. It is one of my favorite traditions at football games and I was so happy to check it off my bucket list.
