Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I come from a long line of Penn State Alum (grandparents, parents, sisters). I always knew Penn State was the place for me. In the end, the world class engineering program and incredible network of Penn State Engineers globally really pulled me in. Following my childhood vision, coming to Penn State was the best decision I have ever made!

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? I have made the best friendships thanks to engineering. These people motivate and inspire me to not only be a better student but a better person too. They are truly the best support system who make me laugh and love what I'm doing - I would not be where I am today without them!

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Keep pushing through! The first year of college is a difficult balance act on so many levels. Don't get discouraged. Keep an end goal in mind and know that it will all get better and work out incredibly in the end!

What do you plan to do after graduation? ... It's a work in progress! I will most likely live in a big city and be a lighting designer at an architectural design firm. I could also see myself moving internationally and working for a non-profit.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? Club Cross Country and Global Brigades! Club Cross Country has been my home away from home since day one here at Penn State. I not only met a crazy group of people who love to run like me, but I met my best friends and roommates who have been with me this whole journey. Global Brigades, a sustainable development club here, has also changed my outlook on so many important topics. I have traveled to Honduras and Nicaragua with the organization and will be going back again this spring break.
