Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I came to Penn State because it is lone university in Pennsylvania with Aerospace Engineering! I knew I wanted to do engineering in college and had Aerospace as my top choice. I was highly interested in Penn State because of the Lunar Lion Team, the university's research facilities, and the great atmosphere the school had to offer.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My best memory (and one that continues) is being a part of the Sailplane Design Class. It is an amazing class that is both hands-on and theoretically based. We are constructing a human-powered aircraft (the pilot pedals to spin a propeller!) and it is a great team activity that has built my engineering skills, communication skills, and allowed me to participate in an incredible project.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Explore every single opportunity that presents itself to you. You can drop the ones you don't like later. You will find that things you didn't have an interest in will actually become what you want to do. Do not limit yourself to your comfort zone. Penn State has more to offer than that!

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to go to graduate school and pursue a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering. I also hope to work on technology to produce a sustainable supersonic commercial aircraft or an effective general aviation electric aircraft.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? Meeting people outside engineering has been my favorite thing at Penn State. Every person you meet knows something you don't - I think it's great to learn as much as I can from the people here who come from all walks of life.
