Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I chose to come to Penn State because it is one of the best engineering schools in the nation, especially when it comes to AE. It also had lots of extra curriculars and different division 1 sports events that I will be able to attend in my free time.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My best memory was having the opportunity to study abroad in China. I was able to experience the construction process that occurs in a foreign country and compare that to how it works here in the US. I was also able to create a really strong bond with the other students that attended and I was able to make memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? I would tell them to not be afraid to get involved and dont be afraid of the thought of change. This is something that I am working on and that is accepting that change is going to happen and this is not alwasy a bad thing. It is alight to change majors or change clubs that you are in, it is all about what fits you the best, and Penn State provides more than enough opportunites to try out anything you want.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to work with a design or consulting firm that helps with different mechanical systems in the building and works on sustainability techniques. I hope that one day I will be able to take all that I learned and become a teacher and educate the upcoming youth on what they can expect as an engineer and what they can expect out of life in general.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? My best experience is for sure participating in IM sports. The relationship I build with the other players and the competition is something that I can never get enough of. One team in particular is the AE softball team that some of us created within our major and we are able to show that just because we are engineers doesnt mean that we arnt still athletic and can compete.
