Why did you choose to come to Penn State? Penn State is a family thing - I'm the thirteenth to come here, and have loved it every single day. No other school can match Penn State in school spirit combined with an amazing engineering program. It felt like home from day one.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? I was chosen as the student speaker for a Celebration of Life ceremony for a College of Engineering alumnus. I was able to share what I believed made the IE department so special, and how alumni can impact students every day through scholarships and involvement. It was an absolute honor, and something I'll remember forever.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Just because you don't love your general engineering classes doesn't mean you won't love the engineering major you choose. For me, physics and chemistry were a struggle, but coming out of those classes knowing I had done my best was extremely rewarding - and I knew that I was now able to take the classes I was really excited about!

What do you plan to do after graduation? I'm planning on joining Deloitte's technology consulting practice. I love the fast pace, the structured work, and being around people who are as ambitious and enthusiastic about challenges as I am.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? My friends and I camped out at Nittanyville before the Ohio State game junior year, and we were in the second row when we upset the Buckeyes! I laughed, cried, lost my voice, and then rushed the field with all my best friends. I still get chills thinking about it!
