Why did you choose to come to Penn State? Both of my parents went to Penn State, so I have always loved the Nittany Lions. Penn State has the perfect combination of great academics and overwhelming school spirit. I couldn't think of a better place to spend four years at.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? Surprisingly, my best memories as an engineering student have been working on large computer science projects with my friends. Though it is a lot of work, these projects have built some of my strongest relationships at Penn State and have given me a powerful work ethic that I can take into the professional world after I graduate.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Don't be afraid of failing. At first, engineering classes seem overwhelming and totally different from what you did in high school, but these classes quickly become exciting and very manageable. Once you make it through the first semester as an engineer, you will be set for the rest of your career at Penn State.

What do you plan to do after graduation? After graduation, I plan on pursuing a full-time software development role at a large tech company. I have loved my internship experiences at Google, and I hope to work at a company like that someday.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? My best experience outside of engineering was my first HackPSU event. I am an Executive Director and the Director of Sponsorship for this event, so seeing all my hard work come together in this twenty-four hour hackathon event was amazing. I saw how much of a community Penn State engineering is and how Penn State students can come together to support each other and take part in a great event.
