Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I have one of those cheesy "I fell in love with Penn State the first time visited" stories. Penn State was the last school on my college road trip and it was the perfect school for me. Everything from the best school for my major, the school pride, and the opportunities during my student career and long after I have graduated sealed the deal.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My favorite memories as an engineering student are always with my architectural engineering family. The best memory is actually a collection of memories. I studied abroad in China for seven weeks with eleven other Architectural Engineers during the summer of 2015. We traveled to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, and Xiamen. Along the way we visited some of the tallest buildings in the world, took classes at two of the most prestigious universities in China and Hong Kong, and participated in an international innovation and engineering competition.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? I would tell a first-year engineer the same piece of advice I was given before my first year: Be selfish. This is your time to shine!

What do you plan to do after graduation? After graduation I will be working as an HVAC Design Engineer for Southland Industries in Dulles, Virginia.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? My best experience outside of engineering at Penn State has been participating in THON. Other than THON weekend itself, my favorite part is canning; I've hosted three times! There's something about the final four hours, singing, crazy emotions, the total reveal, and our two families that make every hour worth it. THON weekend is easily my favorite weekend out of the year. Fun Fact: My birthday weekend is THON weekend too!
