Why did you choose to come to Penn State? Penn State has everything I could ever dream of doing. It is a very large community and there are so many opportunities available with a large university with a well-known and positive reputation. But of course you have to love the football games and there is so much school spirit!

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My sophomore year I decided to get really involved with the club for my major, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and have been very involved ever since. That has been one of the best decisions I made as an engineering student and some of the best memories as well. I got to know so many people in my major and in my classes who have become friends that I plan to stay close with for the rest of my life. They were people I could go to for all of my questions on classes, internships, etc.f

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Balance out your work with things that you enjoy. You need to focus on school but it's also important to be true to yourself and do things for you. And no matter how tough things get, stick with it and eventually things will pay off.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to obtain a job at a company that I enjoy working for as well as travel to places all over the world.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? My best experience by far has been THON.
