Why did you choose to come to Penn State? Penn State is the most well-rounded institution I have seen. It has high academic standards and renowned engineering and research. However, it also has over 900+ clubs, organizations, and volunteer efforts that can broaden your scope. You can be more than just an engineer - and Penn State encourages you to become as worldly knowledgeable as possible!

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? Now being an upperclassman, my best memory is being able to mentor those younger than me and help impact their experiences at Penn State. I have had the best mentors through engineering programs to guide me on my journey at Penn State, and it has truly changed my life. Now being able to change others lives is the best feeling in the world.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Get involved. Go to the involvement fair and sign up for clubs that interest you. Signing up for activities inside and outside of engineering will give you an excellent balance of friends that will be in your classes and friends who share common interests with you. Before you know it this campus will seem profoundly smaller because of how many people you will know.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan on taking a "gap-year" of sorts to travel and study some non-engineering topics such as finance, marketing, public relations, and anthropology. Then, I hope to be attending grad school for engineering and focusing on renewable energy or sustainable materials.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? Joining THON my freshman year was the best decision I ever made after coming to Penn State. I learned the power of thousands of college students coming together to make the difference in the life of a child. You gain a sense of unity and bonding that is immeasurable and indescribable. The closest thing I can do to describe it is have you watch a video. For The Kids!
