Why did you choose to come to Penn State? One of the reasons I wanted to go to Penn State is the number of different options available for both classes to take and activities to participate in.
What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My best experience as an engineering student has hands-down been the summer of 2012, which I spent interning at Microsoft just outside Seattle, Washington. I loved my team, my work, my friends, and living near Seattle. Being able to use what I have learned at Penn State to obtain and perform well at an internship of that caliber has been great for me.
What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Don't be afraid to take classes that interest you, or even classes you just want to learn more about. You have some wiggle room to take extra classes, and you could find great new interests (that's how I picked my major!)
What do you plan to do after graduation? I have accepted a job offer to work with Microsoft as a software tester working on the Windows operating system.
What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? Attending the first-round PSU vs. Temple March Madness basketball game as a member of the Pride of the Lions Basketball Pep Band in Tucson, AZ.
