Alums

The Engineering Career Resources & Employer Relations office provides career assistance and advice to Penn State engineering alums from the Colleges of Engineering and Earth and Mineral Sciences.

Services for engineering alums include:

  • Access to eCareer, the Penn State engineering job search system, where you can view and apply to positions—you must first create an account and upload a résumé for approval
  • Access to career events held throughout the academic year, including networking receptions, fairs, and employer information sessions—if you are able to come to the University Park campus for these activities, you are welcome to attend!
  • Job search advising, including résumé and cover letter reviews (contact our office for assistance)

Alums who are seeking jobs are also invited to connect with other alums through the LinkedIn College of Engineering Alumni Group.


Mock Interview Program

Our Mock Interview Program connects undergraduate students who are looking for experience with alumni volunteers who can provide mock interviews, followed by tips and feedback. Upon receiving a student request, our Recruiting Manager puts the student in touch with a volunteer from an industry related to the student's career goals. The student then contacts the volunteer to arrange a mutually convenient time for the interview. Depending on your location, the interview may be conducted by phone, by Skype, or in person. Most volunteers would be asked to do no more than one or two mock interviews per year, so this is not a big time commitment.
