Fall Engineering Networking Reception

The Fall Engineering Networking Reception gives recruiters an opportunity to mingle with Penn State engineering students prior to the Technical Recruiting Day at Fall Career Days.

This event is meant to be less formal than a career fair, permitting more time for one-on-one and small-group conversations between students and recruiters regarding the employers represented and available job opportunities. In the past, we have asked students not to take along copies of their résumés; however, due to the high number of students requesting to do so, we are now advising them to take a few résumés to give recruiters who specifically request them.

Registration Types and Costs

You may choose to register for this event either as an attendee or as a sponsor. The attendee registration cost for is $450; sponsor registration is $1,000 (both non-refundable), payable either by check or by credit card at the time of registration.

Both attendee and sponsor registrations include one designated three-foot round by 4-foot high cocktail table with a tablecloth and a sign with your employer logo; sponsor registrations also include highly visible placement in The Nittany Lion Inn Atrium (located right outside the Ballroom) and your logo featured on posters at the event.

Due to the size limitations of the cocktail tables, please do not bring display boards or other promotional materials from your company or organization.

Cancellation Policy

Registrants may cancel by August 1 for a 75 percent refund.

Please note that we are unable to provide refunds for this event for registrants who choose not to attend and do not notify our office prior to the cancellation deadline.

The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. In this situation, the University will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for participants' other costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.

Location, Parking, and Check-In

The Nittany Lion Inn is located at 200 West Park Ave., State College, PA, 16803.

Employers should park in The Nittany Lion Inn Parking Deck (on Fischer Road) for this event. Upon entering the garage, you will take a parking ticket; take it with you so that you can have it validated at the hotel reception desk before you return to your car after the event.

Please plan to check in after 5:00 p.m. in the Atrium (outside the Ballroom). Students will receive maps with specific employer locations.
