This interactive panel event, sponsored by the Penn State Engineering Alumni Association (PSEAS), will feature Penn State alumni and faculty experts providing practical tips on money management, including:
  • How to evaluate benefit packages
  • How and when to try to negotiate salary and bonus offers
  • 401K plans and how they work
  • How to plan to buy big-ticket items (a car or home) with little or no credit
  • IRAs and Roth IRAs
  • How to manage budgeting to meet personal and financial goals
Speakers will include:
  • Liz Urish Walton ('03 Industrial Engineering): a financial planner
  • Mike McGinley ('73 Civil Engineering): First Vice President at the Bank of New York Mellon in Pittsburgh
  • Brad Yeckley: Assistant Director of Financial Literacy at the Penn State Financial Literacy Center
