This reception is held in conjunction with Spring Career Days and is open to all engineering students. Dress is either business formal or business casual. Students are asked not to bring résumés since this event is meant to offer the opportunity to network with employers and learn more about specific companies and industries prior to the technical recruiting day at Spring Career Days.

BP 2015 Discovery Days

Discovery Days are BP's leadership programs, which are designed to give students insight into the energy industry and to help them cultivate essential networking and leadership competencies. Discovery Days also give students the opportunity to participate in workshops, meet BP executives and employees, and interact with other student participants.

Webinar information sessions and Q&As will be held on January 21 and February 4. Full-time first- and second-year engineering, science, and business students are eligible to apply. Program dates are June 18–20, July 16–18, or July 30–August 1. The deadline to apply to each program is March 1. Apply at the BP website. A current résumé and transcript are needed as part of the application. Participants will receive a $1000 scholarship and an all-expenses-paid trip to BP's headquarters in Houston.

BP Sophomore Experience

The BP Sophomore Experience is an all-expense paid week-long program at BP's campus in Chicago that offers a closer look at energy commodity trading and related career opportunities within BP's Integrated Supply and Trading organization. This program also give students the opportunity to learn about the energy industry, participate in trading simulations and case studies, meet BP executives and employees, and interact with other student participants.

Full-time students with a 3.0 GPA and an anticipated graduation year of 2017 are eligible to apply. Program dates are June 8–12. The application deadline is March 2. Selections will be completed by April 3. Apply at the BP website.
