CMPSC 101 Introduction to C++ Programming: Study Guide

 

This course is designed for online group learning on a paced schedule following the academic semester calendar and will follow the university academic calendar for start and end dates. Each week of this course will contain a number of lessons, readings from the textbook, quizzes, and homework assignments. The lesson schedule and readings will be posted in ANGEL.

 

Steps to Succeed in this Course 
To take full advantage of the instructional materials related to this course, you should follow the steps listed below for each lesson in the Course Schedule.
You should plan to spend 12-15 hours per week on this class. The following is a suggested list of things-to-do to work on the course material:

 

  1. Read the assigned readings. Take notes, try the examples.  
  2. Complete the practice exercises on your own.
  3. Work on the PLEASE mini-tests, consult with Course Mentors as needed.
    bulletSubmit your completed mini-tests to the appropriate ANGEL Drop Box.
    bulletYou need to contact the instructor to establish a login account for PLEASE.
  4. Re-read the assigned readings one day before the quiz.
  5. Quiz yourself using the questions at the end of the chapters. Go back and re-read any sections necessary.
  6. If you are having trouble with the course material, contact the Course Mentors for assistance in trouble shooting problems with the code in your assignments.
  7. Use ANGEL mail to "ALL Course Faculty" to ask relevant questions to the Course Mentors, the Instructor, or for tech support.
