EE 538 Advanced Antenna Engineering

Course Description

This course in design and analysis of antennas is divided into four Modules, each of which includes on-line lectures for you to hear and to read, and reading assignments from two textbooks: Antenna Theory: Analysis and Design by Constantine Balanis and Antenna Theory and Design by Warren L. Stutzman and Gary A Thiele. Generally speaking, the reading assignments in each Module follow the order of the material in your textbook.

EE 538 ANTENNA ENGINEERING ( 3) In-depth studies of synthesis methods, aperture sources, broadband antennas, and signal-processing arrays. Prerequisite: EE 438
 

Required Textbook

This course has one required text and a second recommended text. The following text by Constantine

 

Antenna Theory, Analysis and Design, Second edition,

by Constantine A. Balanis. John Willey and Son, Inc.

 

 

 

 

 

An additional text by Warren L. Stutzman and Gary A. Thiele is recommended, but not a requirement.

by Warren L. Stutzman, Gary A. Thiele. John Willey and Son, Inc.

 

 

 

 

 

The readings are assigned to follow the lessons on the course CD-ROM to further support each lesson and/or assignments. These textbooks are excellent resources that will be invaluable to you in your engineering career.
