STEEL BRIDGES INFORMATION COMPENDIUM
The intent of this compendium is to highlight technical publications of interest to members of the Committee and to other interested parties.
The first list is based off of the most heavily cited peer-reviewed journal articles as provided by the ISI Web of Knowledge. It will be updated periodically (to locate article copy and paste title into search engine entry, such as Google).
The top 5 cited articles from 2011 that have Steel Bridge in the title are (as of March, 2012):
1. Fatigue tests on riveted steel elements taken from a railway bridge; Alessio et al.; Structure and Infrastructure Engineering; Volume: 7; Issue: 12; Pages: 907-920.
2. Fatigue assessment of highway steel bridges in presence of seismic loading; Pinpinato et al.; Engineering Structures; Volume: 33 Issue: 1; Pages: 202-209.
3. Ultimate strength reliability analysis of corroded steel-box girder bridges; Yasser and Kee; Thin Walled Structures; Volume: 49; Issue: 1; Pages: 157-166.
4. Ultimate Capacity Destructive Testing and Finite-Element Analysis of Steel I-Girder Bridges; Andrew et al.; Journal of Bridge Engineering; Volume: 16; Issue: 2; Pages: 197-206.
5. Prediction of fatigue crack growth in steel bridge components using acoustic emission; Jianguo et al.; Journal of Constructional Steel Research; Volume: 67; Issue: 8; Pages: 1254-1260.
The second list is based off of the first five titles are provided by Google Scholar.
The first 5 articles that have Steel Bridge in the title are (as of March, 2012):
1. Parametric Study on the Interface Layer of Renovation Solutions for Orthotropic Steel Bridge Decks; de Freitaset al.; Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering; Volume: 27; Issue: 2; Pages: 143-153.
2. Structural reliability prediction of a steel bridge element using Dynamic Object Oriented Bayesian Network (DOOBN); Wang et al.; Quality, Reliability, Risk, Maintenance, and Safety Engineering (ICQR2MSE), 2011 International Conference; Pages: 7-12. June17-19, 2011.
3. Fourier-Transform-Based Method for Automated Steel Bridge Coating Defect Recognition; Chen et al.; Procedia Engineering - The Proceedings of the Twelfth East Asia-Pacific Conference on Structural Engineering and Construction — EASEC12; Pages: 470-476.
