Examined behavior of steel curved bridge structures in bending through controlled experimental investigation of full-scale bridge system.

Examined behavior of steel tubular sections experimentally under axial and bending effects in both compression and tension.

Developed and analyzed finite element models of various structures using ANSYS, ABAQUS, GT-STRUDL, and NASTRAN.

                    Researched the use of fiber-reinforced plastics for decks on short span bridges.

Assisted other graduate research assistants in completion of experimental and analytical research on the use of fiber-reinforced plastics for structural applications (angle members, wide-flange shapes, tubular members).

Investigated singular behavior of various skewed and circular shapes using energy based methods.
