Structural Field Testing

 

Extensive equipment is available for conducting field tests of bridges and other structures outside the structural testing laboratory. This equipment includes an enclosed trailer outfitted with a 72 channel high-speed data acquisition system and all necessary instrumentation and equipment required to perform and collect data for a field test. Instrumentation includes linear variable differential transformers (LVDT's), single use and demountable strain transducers, and seismometers in the vertical and horizontal directions. The test equipment also includes a drop weight device for impact testing and controlled structure excitation.
