Surveyor in Training Option
Civil
Engineering students interested in becoming Professional Licensed Surveyors
are required to meet the following requirements:

Have 10
hours of surveying courses

Pass the
LSIT (Land Surveyors in Training) Exam
-
Work under
the direct supervision of a Licensed Surveyor for 4 years after passing
the LSIT exam

Pass the
PLS exam
Six hours
of surveying at University Park may be credited toward the LSIT Exam. These
courses are:

321 Highway Engineering
It is recommended
that students take the additional credits required for the exam at the
Wilkes-Barre Campus from the Surveying Program. Students may take
Resident Instruction at the Wilkes-Barre campus. Additional courses are
available in Arts, Science and Humanities to fill out a semester.
