Land Surveyor in Training Option

Civil Engineering students interested in becoming Professional Licensed Surveyors are required to meet the following requirements:

  1. Have 10 hours of surveying courses
  2. Pass the LSIT (Land Surveyors in Training) Exam
  3. Work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Surveyor for 4 years after passing the LSIT exam
  4. Pass the PLS exam
Six hours of surveying at University Park may be credited toward the LSIT Exam. These courses are: It is recommended that students take the additional credits required for the exam at the Wilkes-Barre Campus from the Surveying Program.  Students may take Resident Instruction at the Wilkes-Barre campus. Additional courses are available in Arts, Science and Humanities to fill out a semester.  Recommended courses are:
