ROOM 16
Instrument Room

Containing many of the lab's larger peices of equipment, Room 16, used
for teaching and research, has been dubbed the instrument room.  It
holds the following instruments:

Gas Chromatographs
Ion Chromatograph
Carbon Analyzers
Spectrophotometer
Particle Counters
Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer
Pore Size Distribution and Surface-Area Analyzer
Toxicity Analyzer
Supercritical Fluid Extractor
Surface Area/Pore Structure Analyzers
Accelerated Rate Calorimeter

Grad students Angela Fisher and Jim Stone are seen running the Atomic Absorption Specrophotmeter.

Ki-Jung Kim, graduate student, is using the Ion Chromatograph.

Mike Mazzarese, graduate student, is happy to be using the Toxicity Analyzer.

Another graduate student, Brian Jacobson, is seen here working with the Accelerated Rate Calorimeter.

Brian Moore (left) is discussing the Surface Area/Pore Structure Analyzer with a Micromeritics representative.

The Total Organic Carbon Analyzer awaits its next user.
