Yongtae Ahn, PhD Post-Doctoral Research (Since September 2010) Yongtae is an environmental engineer with a background in membrane separation for water/wastewater treatment.  He is currently working on continuous flow MDC and MFC.  Youngtae obtained his PhD from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), Korea in 2008.
Geoffrey Geise Post-Doctoral Research (Since September 2012) Geoff is a chemical engineer whose research interests lie in the area of small molecule transport in polymers for membrane-based water purification and energy generation applications.  Currently, he is working in conjunction with Prof. Mike Hickner to develop improved ion exchange membranes for electrically-driven membrane-based separation technologies. Geoff earned his PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in August 2012.
Huijie Hou, PhD Post-Doctoral Research (Since August 2012) Huijie is an electrical engineer with a background of BioMEMS and microfluidics. She is currently working on multiple reactor MFCs/MECs. Huijie Obtained her PhD degree from Texas A&M University in Dec. 2011.
Ivan Ivanov, PhD Post-Doctoral Researcher (Since February 2012) Ivan is a chemical engineer with a background in organiz chemistry and electrochemisty. Ivan's current research focus is on different electrochemical aspects in the MEC and MFC technologies. Ivan wil obtain his PhD from the MPI Magdeburg (Max Planck Institute for Dynamic of Complex Technology Systems), Germany, in April 2012.
Jia Liu, PhD Post-Doctoral Researcher (Since October 2012) Jia is an environmental engineer with a background in bioelectricity production and wastewater treatment. She is currently working on continuous flow MECs and MDCs.  Jia obtained her Ph.D. from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 2012
Michael Siegert, PhD Post-Doctoral Researcher (Since February 2012) Michael Siegert graduated in 2006 from the University of Jena in Germany (biology) and received his PhD in 2011 at the University of Hannover. He research focus is on bioelectrical reduction of carbon dioxide to methane and microbial hydrocarbon degradation. His broader interests are bio-geochemical redox and nutrient cycles.
Fang Zhang, PhD Post-Doctoral Researcher (Since August 2012) Fang is an environmental engineer with a background in bio-electricity production and wastewater treatment.  She is currently working on electrode optimization for MFCs. Fang obtained her PhD from Penn State in August 2012
Xiaoyuan Zhang, PhD Post-Doctoral Research (Since August 2012) Xiaoyuan is an environmental scientist with a background in bioenergy production and wastewater treatment. He is currently working on microbial fuel cell cathode development. Xiaoyuan obtained his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University, China in 2012.
Xiuping Zhu, PhD Post-Doctoral Researcher and Technician (Since August 2011) Xiuping is an environmental scientist with a background in electrochemistry for wastewater treatment. She is currently working on the electron transfer mechanisms in MFCs.  Xiuping obtained her PhD from Peking University, China in 2011.
