APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING MINOR

Students must be at least 5th semester standing at the time of application. The GPA considered for admission will be consistent with the GPA required for entrance to the C E major.

Applicants must have completed CHEM 110 GN, MATH 141 GQ, and PHYS 211 GN with a grade of "C" or better in each course, and must meet prerequisite requirements for each course scheduled for the minor. A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the minor requirements. A minimum GPA of 2.0 in the 18 credits required for the minor, at least 6 of which must be at the 400 level, is mandatory for certification.

  • A grade of "C" or better is required in all courses in the minor. 
  • Students must include at least 2 Engineering Design credits in their program. 
  • The minor cannot guarantee entrance into departmentally controlled courses. Substitutions in the course plan may be necessary. 
  • An advisor will not be assigned for the Environmental Engineering Minor. Assistance regarding the minor may be obtained in the Academic Programs Office, 218 Sackett Building. 
  • Upon approval, copies will be distributed to the student. 
  • The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department will certify to the University Registrar the successful completion of the minor requirements.
