Protective Technology Center (PTC)

Involved in modern protective structures, defensive architecture and construction. The center conducts research and development activities aimed at protection against blast, shock, and impact effects.

Provides a central focus for the College's activities on environmentally relevant topics.

Penn State Institutes of Energy & the Environment (PSIEE)

Dedicated to research, education and outreach dealing with environmental challenges.

Pennsylvania Housing Research Center (PHRC)

Promotes better and more affordable housing for Pennsylvanians. The Pennsylvania Housing Research Center and the Bernard Hankin Construction Engineering and Management Research Laboratory provide a focal point for residential construction research.

Pennsylvania Transportation Institute (PTI)

Provides a number of unique field facilities and experimental laboratories for conducting transportation research. The Institute's energies are directed toward solving problems in five major areas of transportation-related research: Construction Engineering and Management, pavements and materials, transportation operations, transportation structures, and vehicle systems and safety.
