What time should I arrive?
Graduates should arrive no later than 7:00 p.m. Enter the arena floor via Portal 15 and receive your name card at the appropriate check-in table. Graduates can sit anywhere within their designated major section. Those with multiple majors must choose one section in which to sit. The event will take approximately 2 hours. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
What should I wear to the ceremony?
See commencement.psu.edu/students. Due to the formality of the occasion and safety concerns regarding walking on the steps and stage, please wear appropriate footwear; flip flops, clogs, and loose fitting shoes are not recommended. In addition, it is requested that men wear slacks and a dress shirt with tie. For women, slacks or skirt with a blouse or a dress is appropriate.
Are tickets required?
No tickets are necessary and there is no guest limit.
Where do I park?
See the BJC Commencement Google Map and the Parking and Traffic Advisory for BJC Commencement. There is no fee for parking. Parking for graduates with disabilities is available in Lot Orange L East (see map).
What if a family member needs special accommodations?

What if my friends and family can’t make it to the ceremony?
Commencement will be live-streamed on the web. Your loved ones can watch the entire ceremony on this website: commencement.psu.edu/media/live/.
Is the commencement ceremony recorded?
Commencement ceremonies are not recorded. Guests are welcome to bring their own hand-held video devices that can be used from their seats. Only graduates are permitted on the event floor area. Breaking news regarding commencement ceremonies may also be available from Penn State News, our official news source.
Will I receive my diploma at the commencement ceremony?
Can I bring a purse or bag into the Bryce Jordan Center?
