Let the Co-op and Internship Program enhance these opportunities for you.

This program provides several benefits to Civil Engineers:

  • The office is contacted by employers looking specifically for CE candidates every day!
We have over 3,000 employer contacts. In addition, if you don't see the employers you are interested in through our online site, we can make personal connections on your behalf!

  • Get academic credit while working, which you can use toward your degree requirements.
CE students can obtain 1 credit during each work rotation. Students who are completing 3 co-op rotations can apply the 3 credits toward the required technical elective in CE.

  • Get other courses out of the way while working.

ENGL 202: Students that complete 3 co-op or internship rotations may complete ENGL 202C through a Portfolio Assessment. There is no class to attend, and the cost is $390 for 3 credits!

Online Courses: All students in the program have access to several online technical courses in EMCH, EE, IE, NUCE. Participants have guaranteed placement in the course if offered.

  • Your experience will be documented on your academic transcript.
This will allow you to utilize your work assingment for professional engineer requirements in numerous states. Some employers give automatic starting bonus for documented career-related experience.
