Increase Your Visibility On Campus

How We Can Help

Making a visit to Penn State is a great way to increase your visibility among students, faculty, and staff alike. The Engineering Cooperative Education & Professional Internship Program staff can help you promote your visit in a variety of ways. We can:

  • Post your company fliers and banners in key locations on campus
  • Highlight your company in the weekly E-News, an electronic newsletter that goes out to all engineering students
  • Notify key student organizations, whose leaders can encourage members to attend any events you are hosting during your visit
  • Notify our departmental faculty contacts, who can encourage their students to make contact with your representatives

If you are visiting Penn State around the time of any of our engineering career fairs or events, and you make a request well in advance, we may also be able to include an advertisement for your organization in promotional booklets and handouts.

Plan An Information Session

Many employers offer student information sessions, often for the evening before their on-campus interview date(s). Whether you are seeking to create general interest in your organization or attempting to target a specific group of students, you will find a variety of meeting facilities on and near Penn State's University Park campus. Due to large numbers of concurrent events on campus (especially during the fall and spring semesters), it is imperative that you make logistical arrangements well in advance of your visit.

To reserve meeting space at the University Park campus, contact the Engineering Co-op & Professional Internship Program at 814-863-1032. To arrange for catering, contact 814-865-0975. Please note that food and drink are prohibited in classrooms.

If you would like to use a different facility, such as a local hotel, please contact that facility directly to make arrangements.

Once your meeting space been reserved, you will be responsible for reserving audio-visual equipment. Most academic classrooms are equipped with an overhead projector and screen; if you need additional equipment or services, there will be an accompanying fee. If your room has been reserved in the Thomas Building, please call 814-863-8505 for audio-visual assistance; for a room in the Willard Building, please call 814-865-2788. For audio-visual assistance in any other campus building, please call Media and Technology Support Services at 814-865-5400.
